Michele applies her 32 years of professional experience and enjoys leaning new techniques to treat orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions. Having completed a yearlong residency program at the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Medicine she takes that training to analyze and treat patients correcting muscle imbalances, mechanical restrictions, and teaching more efficient movement patterns. Michele has also taught graduate students as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts. Having completed over 335 hours of training from the Vodder School, she is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She uses these techniques here at STAR to treat post-operative swelling as well as to have breast cancer survivors, who are at risk for developing lymphedema, regain full use of their arms and shoulder girdle. When not volunteering as a Master Gardener, she enjoys time with family and friends, biking, swimming, and skiing.
